We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our 50th anniversary championships which will be held in the Majestic Bo-Kaap at the Schotchekloof Civic Centre on the 31st August 2024.
We will be celebrating the life of Shihan Kasiem Davids 6th Dan black belt, kata specialist and being an instrumental part of making champions for over 50 years. We will be having various styles that will be participating in our anniversary championships from Traditional Japanese, Korean and Chinese karate ka.
Saturday, 31st August 2024, start time will be at 9am
Tournament entry fee: R250 for 2 events
Additional events - R 80
Team events - R50 per team member per category
All payments and entries must be submitted to the martial art school principal / dojo head. They are responsible for transferring the martial art school entries as a bulk payment. No entries from individual students or parents will be accepted.

Let us unite to make this unparalleled martial arts extravaganza the highlight event of the year, where your students can demonstrate their individual and team katas/forms/patterns, engage in kumite/sparring both individually and in teams and showcase their skills in kobudo/weapons in both long and short categories. Our aim is to nurture athletes and officials alike, fostering 2 days of friendly competition and continuous learning.
Please take note of the following:
A snack shop and food stall will be available for our hungry competitors and spectators, equipped with card facilities for payment. Our dedicated officials will be catered for throughout the championships.
• Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for no-shows or competitors unable to participate due to illness on the day of the tournament.
• We encourage all martial art schools to provide referees, judges, and table officials to further develop officiating capabilities for future tournaments. We urge you to motivate your officials to volunteer, as this will contribute to a smoother-running tournament and reduce the workload for each official.

Tournament administration
1) No team manages are allowed in the competition area.
2) No parents allowed on the floor.
3) No coach /team manager /parent or any other person will interfere with the duties of any Table Official, Chief Tournament Official, and Referee or judge. Complaints can be lodged via tournament director by the relevant team managers.
4) No changes will be made to the draw sheets by any other person other than the Tournament Director.
5) Some divisions will be combined if there to too little entries in specific divisions.
We need to finalize the following in advance:
• Compilation and finalization of Male & Female Divisions, identifying any errors or incorrect entries.
• Compilation and finalization of drawsheets for each division.
• Calculation of the total correct entries to plan the required number of floors for the tournament days.
• Determination of the total number of referees, judges, and jury table officials for the championship.
• Finalization of the Order of Events for the tournament.
