Welsh Kickboxing Union Tournament

Open to all clubs, styles & associations.
Categories are as follows:
- Semi-Contact(points)
- Light Continuous
- Tag Team Points
- Open Weight Points
- Veterans Men and Women
Experiences: Novice (under 2 years training), Advanced (over 2 years training)
Little Ninjas
Please note, our Little Ninja Category is strictly for 6 years old and under, must have fought a maximum of two tournaments and have under one year experience. We have made this category to give raw beginners the chance to experience an even and fair opportunity to fight in a real tournament environment with children of the same abilities to help boost their confidence.
Registration
This competition is a pre-registration event only. We will not accept any entries on the day. All fighters must enter their categories and pay via Khiapp. We also highly recommend booking spectator tickets via Khiapp pre-competition £5 per ticket, however we will allow spectator tickets to be purchased at the door charged at £10 per ticket, cash accepted only. Entry fees are as follows
- £20 First category
- £15 Second category
- £10 Additional categories
- £20 Per tag team
Coaches
Two coaches per team only, please register on khiapp. Only two coaches can corner a fighter at any given time.
Semi-contact rules
WKU 3-2-1 System
- 3 points head kick
- 2 points body kick
- 1 point punch(head or body)
- 3 points spinning kick
- 5 points spinning jumping head kick
- 3 points sweep/drop sweep (must land on back)
- 1 point sweep/drop sweep (one point of contact with the floor, other than legs)
- First exit of area will result in a warning, second offence will result in a point being deducted and third offence will be instant disqualification.
- First power warning will be a verbal, second offence will result in a point being deducted, third offence will result in disqualification.
- Power and area warnings will be separate warnings
Light-continuous Rules
All punches and kicks must be of a controlled manner. Any contact that is deemed heavy, fighters will receive a warning, second offence will result in a point being deducted, third time will be disqualification.
Please note, we will confirm these rules on the day at the coaches meeting at 09:45am.
Refunds
All payments that have been made will be non-refundable and non-transferable however there will be an exception made under the following circumstances
- If your category has not fought before the closing time at 7pm
- The event gets cancelled by the organisers
- If the venue has to cancel for any reason, all purchased tickets will be transferred to an alternative date and place if necessary
